Compost Program

Update on Compost Program: It has been determined that due to the increased cost involved to provide free compost to residents along with security concerns, the free program for residents has been canceled. Please continue to collect and bag yard waste separately from trash as it is banned from landfills.

The City continues to receive a small amount compost (approximately 150 cubic feet) free through NTMWD. This compost is available at no cost to non-profit organizations in Allen working on beautification programs. Please contact the waste services department for more information.

There is a coupon on the back of the annual Trash and Recycling Guidelines mailed to all residents to be used towards the purchase of compost from Texas Pure Products at the Custer Road Transfer Station.
