KAB Annual Programs

Keep Allen Beautiful (KAB) hosts community events each year that are designed to support our environmental and beautification goals. Several events are hosted in conjunction with annual educational activities and often include opportunities for volunteers to participate in community beautification efforts.

These events are promoted through a variety of City communication channels. Visit the Stay Connected page for subscription options to receive news and events. Contact Education Specialist Josué Diaz at 214.509.4555 for event and volunteer information.

Allen Recycles Day

Residents are invited to bring items for reuse or recycling to the City Hall parking lot. Participating organizations are onsite to help collect items. Middle and high school students are encouraged to earn volunteer hours by helping operate the event. As part of Allen Recycles Day, KAB hosts a Recycled Art Contest for Allen ISD students in grades K-12.

Earthfest

Earthfest is a community celebration of the great outdoors. This family friendly event features hands-on environmental activities, nature walks, bird watching, wildlife presentations and more.

Educator Expo

This expo is an opportunity for educators to learn about the educational resources offered through City of Allen and local partners. Visit the Education and Outreach page for more information.

Great American Cleanup

Participate in the largest cleanup event in Collin County! Residents can drop off computers, household goods, cardboard, shoes, eyeglasses, unwanted medicals and more. Items will be reused or recycled if possible. Paper shredding services also available.

Staff are available to help unload items. Middle and high school students who need volunteer hours are encouraged to participate.

Trees for Allen

This annual event is an opportunity for residents to purchase trees best suited for the North Texas climate and soil type. Watch for an order form and more information on CityofAllen.org this fall.
