KAB Community Events

Keep Allen Beautiful (KAB) hosts a variety of community events each year that are designed to support KAB's environmental and beautification goals. Several events are hosted in conjunction with annual educational activities and often include opportunities for volunteers to participate in community beautification efforts.

These events are promoted through a variety of City communication channels including AllenNews.org. Visit the Stay Connected page for all the email subscription options for news and events or follow Keep Allen Beautiful on Twitter. Dates and event flyers are added to the information below several weeks prior to each event. Contact Education Specialist Josué Diaz at 214.509.4555 for event and volunteer information.

Electronic Recycling Days

Keep Allen Beautiful and the City of Allen provide a safe, environmentally-responsible way for residents to dispose of unwanted or obsolete computers and small electronics twice a year at the Great American Cleanup in April and at Allen Recycles Day in November (see event details below). National Planting Day

KAB and Allen Garden Club host Allen's National Planting Day. The event celebrates the value and power of native species in restoring ecological balance to the environment while creating greener, more beautiful communities. On this day residents are encouraged to make a special effort to plant native species at home and join a volunteer effort to beautify the community. Watch for details about this year's beautification project. Learn more by contacting Allen Garden Club.
