KAB Education & Outreach

Education and outreach initiatives are key to the objectives of Keep Allen Beautiful (KAB). KAB produces an annual Education and Outreach Guide to highlight programs, presentations and field trips offered by City of Allen and local partners.

Educator Expo

Held each year in September, the Educator Expo gives educators an opportunity to learn about the educational resources offered by City of Allen and community partners.

Recycled Art Contest

This year Keep Allen Beautiful is sponsoring a contest open to students in K-12 enrolled in Allen ISD, home schooled students, and students in the Plano ISD and Lovejoy ISD who reside in the Allen City Limits. This year's theme is "Take Care of Texas and Recycle!" The contest deadline is Oct. 21 at 5 pm.

Arbor Day Poster Contest

This contest challenges fourth and fifth grade Allen ISD students to design and create informational posters according to the theme using the Activities Guide and Poster Contest Rules. Continue checking this page for contest information.

Reuse-A-Shoe Contest

Allen ISD schools (K-12) compete to collect and donate new or gently used shoes. The school collecting the most pairs per student wins the grand prize. This event normally takes place in spring, right before the Great American Cleanup event.

Scout Projects

Scouts interested in completing an Eagle Project or Order of the Arrow service work should call Josué Diaz at 214.509.4555. Scouts will receive our Guidelines for Advanced Scout Projects, which will help identify City employees interested in supporting these projects.
